IronEntryStudio Limited Warranty

At IronEntryStudio, our iron doors are made to order and manufactured according to the dimensions, configurations, finishes, glass selections, hardware selections, and other specifications confirmed for each project.

We stand behind the materials and workmanship of our products. This Limited Warranty explains the warranty coverage available for eligible manufacturing defects, applicable warranty periods, exclusions, customer responsibilities, and the process for submitting a warranty claim.

This Limited Warranty applies in addition to any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.

1. Warranty Coverage

Subject to the terms, conditions, and exclusions described in this Limited Warranty, IronEntryStudio warrants eligible products against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.

Warranty coverage begins on the date the product is delivered to the original purchaser.

Frame, Hinges & IronEntryStudio-Supplied Hardware — 5-Year Limited Warranty

The door frame, factory-installed hinges, and hardware supplied by IronEntryStudio are covered for 5 years against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship.

Eligible covered defects may include confirmed manufacturing-related failures that materially affect the structural integrity or normal operation of the door or covered hardware.

Depending on the product and confirmed order configuration, covered hardware may include:

  • Hinges
  • Handles
  • Lock components
  • Flush bolts
  • Latches
  • Other functional hardware supplied by IronEntryStudio

This coverage does not apply to normal wear, improper installation, misuse, unsuitable hardware, unauthorized modification, site conditions, building movement, accidental damage, or other causes unrelated to manufacturing.

Finish — 3-Year Limited Warranty

Factory-applied finishes are covered for 3 years against confirmed manufacturing defects involving abnormal:

  • Peeling
  • Flaking
  • Separation of the finish from the underlying metal

The finish warranty does not cover:

  • Normal fading
  • Gradual color change
  • Patina development
  • Normal aging
  • Minor surface wear
  • Scratches
  • Abrasion
  • Impact damage
  • Environmental exposure
  • Corrosion resulting from damaged or exposed metal
  • Improper maintenance
  • Harsh or corrosive cleaning products

Hand-applied finishes may naturally show reasonable variations in color, tone, texture, and appearance. Such variations are not considered manufacturing defects.

2. Glass

IronEntryStudio-supplied glass is expected to be free from manufacturing defects when delivered.

Glass is not covered against accidental, environmental, installation-related, or external physical damage, including:

  • Scratches
  • Chips
  • Cracks
  • Breakage
  • Impact damage
  • Damage caused during installation
  • Damage caused after delivery
  • Improper cleaning
  • Damage from foreign objects

Surface condensation caused by temperature differences, humidity, climate conditions, or dew point is not by itself considered a manufacturing defect.

If you believe glass has a manufacturing-related defect, please contact IronEntryStudio promptly so the issue can be reviewed.

3. Handcrafted and Natural Variations

IronEntryStudio products may include hand-forged components, welded details, decorative ironwork, hand-applied finishes, glass, and other materials that naturally show variation.

Minor differences may occur in:

  • Finish tone
  • Finish texture
  • Patina appearance
  • Hand-forged details
  • Weld appearance
  • Decorative elements
  • Glass texture or characteristics
  • Color appearance under different lighting
  • Hand-applied finishing

Reasonable handcrafted, material, or finishing variations are not considered defects when the product substantially matches the approved order specifications and intended function.

4. Customer-Supplied Handles, Locks & Hardware

IronEntryStudio accepts customer-supplied handles, locksets, smart locks, and other hardware when compatibility has been reviewed and confirmed before production.

Customer-supplied hardware itself is not covered by the IronEntryStudio Limited Warranty and remains subject to any warranty offered by its original manufacturer or seller.

Using customer-supplied hardware does not automatically cancel otherwise applicable IronEntryStudio warranty coverage.

However, this warranty does not cover damage or operational problems caused by:

  • Incompatible customer-supplied hardware
  • Incorrect hardware specifications
  • Failure of customer-supplied hardware
  • Improper installation
  • Unauthorized modification
  • Incorrect preparation information provided by the customer or hardware manufacturer
  • Third-party components that cause or contribute to the problem

Door preparation performed by IronEntryStudio according to approved specifications remains eligible for warranty coverage against applicable manufacturing defects.

5. Installation and Site Conditions

Professional installation by a qualified installer familiar with oversized iron entry doors is strongly recommended.

This warranty does not cover damage or operational problems caused by:

  • Improper installation
  • Incorrect rough opening dimensions
  • Incorrect site preparation
  • Improper anchoring
  • Improper adjustment
  • Improper shimming
  • Building settlement
  • Structural movement
  • Improper handling after delivery
  • Failure to follow applicable installation requirements
  • Unsuitable installation conditions
  • Damage caused by contractors or other third parties

Products manufactured according to measurements, dimensions, swing directions, jamb depths, configurations, hardware preparations, or other specifications supplied, confirmed, or approved by the customer are not considered defective solely because those specifications later prove unsuitable for the installation site.

Customers should confirm final dimensions and specifications against the approved shop drawing for the specific door before modifying the opening or beginning installation.

6. Normal Wear, Environmental Exposure & Maintenance

Normal wear and tear is not considered a manufacturing defect.

Warranty coverage does not apply to damage or deterioration resulting from:

  • Normal use
  • Normal finish aging
  • Gradual fading or discoloration
  • Surface scratches
  • Abrasion
  • Impact
  • Environmental exposure
  • Standing water
  • Excessive moisture
  • Corrosion caused by exposed or damaged metal
  • Harsh chemicals
  • Corrosive cleaners
  • Abrasive cleaning products
  • Power or pressure washing
  • Improper maintenance
  • Improper storage
  • Failure to address damaged finish or exposed metal within a reasonable period

Customers should periodically inspect the door and maintain the finish, exposed metal, seals, moving components, and other areas requiring routine care.

Failure to perform reasonable maintenance does not automatically void unrelated warranty coverage. However, damage caused or materially worsened by improper maintenance is not covered.

7. Misuse, Modification & Accidental Damage

This Limited Warranty does not cover damage caused by:

  • Abuse
  • Misuse
  • Accidents
  • Forced entry
  • Excessive force
  • Slamming
  • Impact
  • Fire
  • Flood
  • Earthquake
  • Lightning
  • Severe weather events
  • Natural disasters
  • Unauthorized structural modification
  • Cutting
  • Drilling
  • Welding
  • Refinishing
  • Alteration
  • Use of unsuitable hardware
  • Use outside the product's intended application

If you discover a suspected warranty issue, please contact IronEntryStudio before performing repairs or modifications related to the claimed defect.

Repairs or modifications performed by a third party do not automatically void unrelated warranty coverage, but damage caused or worsened by such work is not covered.

8. Freight Damage

Damage occurring during transportation is handled under the IronEntryStudio Shipping & Delivery Policy and Return & Refund Policy rather than as a long-term warranty claim.

Visible freight damage should be:

  • Noted on the carrier's delivery receipt or Proof of Delivery
  • Photographed before or during unloading
  • Reported to IronEntryStudio within 3 calendar days after delivery

Concealed shipping damage, incorrect products, or missing essential components should be reported within 7 calendar days after delivery and before installation.

Customers should retain the original packaging until the shipment has been inspected and any freight-related issue has been reviewed.

9. Do Not Install or Modify a Product With a Reported Issue

If you discover damage, a suspected manufacturing defect, an incorrect product, or a missing essential component, contact IronEntryStudio before installation or permanent modification.

Do not permanently:

  • Install
  • Cut
  • Drill
  • Weld
  • Paint
  • Refinish
  • Modify
  • Alter

the affected product before contacting us when doing so could interfere with evaluation of the original condition.

Installation or modification after discovering an issue may affect the available resolution if the alteration makes it difficult to determine the original cause or condition of the product.

10. How to Submit a Warranty Claim

If you believe your product has an eligible defect covered by this Limited Warranty, please contact IronEntryStudio promptly while the product remains within the applicable warranty period.

Please provide:

  • Order number
  • Customer name
  • Installation address
  • Description of the issue
  • Date the issue was first noticed
  • Photographs of the complete door
  • Close-up photographs of the affected area
  • Video, when helpful
  • Installation information, when relevant
  • Maintenance information, when relevant
  • Hardware information, when relevant
  • Other reasonable documentation necessary to evaluate the claim

Please do not discard relevant components or perform repairs that would prevent IronEntryStudio from reasonably evaluating the original condition of the product.

11. Warranty Claim Review

IronEntryStudio will review the information provided and may request additional:

  • Photographs
  • Videos
  • Measurements
  • Installation information
  • Maintenance information
  • Hardware specifications
  • Project information
  • Other reasonable documentation

In some cases, additional inspection or troubleshooting may be necessary.

Submitting a warranty claim does not automatically establish that the issue is covered.

IronEntryStudio may evaluate whether the condition resulted from:

  • Manufacturing
  • Installation
  • Site conditions
  • Building movement
  • Maintenance
  • Environmental exposure
  • Customer-supplied hardware
  • Third-party work
  • Accidental damage
  • Normal wear
  • Other contributing conditions

12. Available Warranty Remedies

If IronEntryStudio confirms that an issue is covered under this Limited Warranty, the appropriate remedy will depend on the nature and severity of the confirmed defect.

Possible remedies may include:

  • Technical assistance
  • Adjustment guidance
  • Touch-up materials
  • Replacement hardware
  • Replacement components
  • Repair assistance
  • Pre-approved local repair support
  • Product repair
  • Replacement of the affected product
  • Another reasonable resolution appropriate to the confirmed defect

IronEntryStudio will determine an appropriate warranty remedy based on the specific circumstances and applicable law.

13. Labor, Removal, Reinstallation & Related Costs

Unless specifically approved by IronEntryStudio in writing, this Limited Warranty does not automatically cover:

  • Installation labor
  • Removal
  • Reinstallation
  • Contractor charges
  • Construction work
  • Site modification
  • Finish work
  • Painting
  • Carpentry
  • Masonry
  • Electrical work
  • Third-party service charges
  • Other incidental project costs

If IronEntryStudio determines that local repair is an appropriate warranty remedy, reasonable repair costs may be reimbursed only when the proposed work and estimated cost have been approved by IronEntryStudio in writing before the work is performed.

Do not assume that third-party labor or repair expenses will be reimbursed without prior written approval.

14. Shipping of Warranty Parts or Products

For an approved warranty claim, IronEntryStudio may provide or arrange standard shipping for approved replacement parts or products when appropriate.

Any special delivery, expedited transportation, installation, removal, reinstallation, or other third-party costs are not automatically included unless specifically approved in writing by IronEntryStudio.

15. Original Purchaser and Original Installation Location

This Limited Warranty applies to the original purchaser and the product at its original intended installation location.

Damage caused by:

  • Removal
  • Relocation
  • Reinstallation
  • Subsequent structural modification

is not covered.

Unless otherwise required by applicable law or agreed to in writing by IronEntryStudio, this Limited Warranty is not transferable to a subsequent purchaser.

16. Replacement Parts and Products

Any replacement component or repaired or replacement product provided under this Limited Warranty will generally remain covered for the remainder of the original applicable warranty period.

A repair, replacement component, or replacement product does not automatically restart the original warranty period unless IronEntryStudio states otherwise in writing or applicable law requires otherwise.

17. Relationship to Other IronEntryStudio Policies

This Limited Warranty should be read together with the applicable:

  • Shipping & Delivery Policy
  • Return & Refund Policy
  • Cancellation Policy
  • Terms of Service
  • Installation Guide
  • Measuring Guide
  • Care & Maintenance guidance
  • Approved shop drawing
  • Confirmed order specifications

If a product-specific written warranty expressly provides different coverage, the product-specific written terms will apply to that product.

18. Legal Rights

This is a Limited Warranty.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary by state or jurisdiction.

Nothing in this Limited Warranty is intended to exclude or limit any consumer right, implied warranty, remedy, or other protection that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
