Shipping policy
At IronEntryStudio, our iron doors are made to order and carefully prepared for freight delivery. This Shipping & Delivery Policy explains our estimated lead times, delivery methods, shipping coverage, customer responsibilities, and what to do if your shipment arrives damaged.
Shipping Coverage
IronEntryStudio provides free standard curbside freight delivery to eligible addresses within the contiguous United States.
Free standard shipping does not automatically include Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, U.S. territories, P.O. boxes, APO/FPO/DPO addresses, or other locations that cannot be serviced by standard freight carriers.
For locations outside our standard shipping area, please contact us before ordering to confirm availability and request a shipping quote.
Estimated Lead Time
Most custom iron doors are estimated to be completed and delivered within approximately:
14–17 weeks after final drawing approval and confirmation of all required order details.
Estimated timing may generally include:
- Custom production
- Quality inspection
- Export preparation
- International freight, where applicable
- Customs processing
- Domestic freight transportation
- Final delivery coordination
All timelines are estimates only and are not guaranteed.
Custom production and freight delivery may be affected by material availability, design complexity, holidays, carrier schedules, weather, customs processing, port conditions, transportation delays, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
When the Lead Time Begins
The estimated lead time begins after:
- Required order details have been provided
- Measurements and specifications have been confirmed
- Final drawings have been approved, where applicable
- Required payment conditions have been satisfied
Delays in customer approvals, measurements, selections, or other required information may delay production and delivery.
In-Stock Products
If a product is specifically marked as In Stock, the estimated delivery timeline may be shorter than for custom-made products.
Any estimated delivery time shown on the applicable product page or order confirmation will apply to that product.
Delivery Method
Large iron doors are typically shipped using commercial freight carriers.
Standard delivery is:
Curbside Freight Delivery
This means the freight carrier will deliver the shipment to the closest safe and accessible location at or near the delivery address.
Standard curbside delivery does not include:
- Inside delivery
- Garage placement
- Room-of-choice delivery
- Unpacking
- Assembly
- Installation
- Forklift service
- Removal of packaging materials
Optional upgraded delivery services may be available in selected locations for an additional fee. Please contact us before ordering if you require additional delivery assistance.
Freight Delivery Appointment
For most residential freight deliveries, the carrier will contact the customer using the phone number provided with the order to arrange or confirm a delivery appointment.
Customers are responsible for providing:
- A valid delivery address
- A working phone number
- Accurate contact information
- Reasonable availability for delivery scheduling
Please respond promptly to carrier calls or messages to avoid unnecessary storage, redelivery, or scheduling fees.
Customer Unloading Responsibility
Iron doors can be large and heavy.
Customers are responsible for arranging adequate assistance or equipment to safely unload and move the shipment from the curbside delivery location.
Depending on the size and weight of the shipment, customers may need:
- 3–4 able-bodied people
- A forklift
- Pallet jack
- Other appropriate unloading equipment
Please plan unloading arrangements before the scheduled delivery date.
The freight driver is generally not responsible for unloading the shipment unless a specific unloading service has been arranged in advance.
Limited-Access Locations
Freight trucks require adequate road and site access.
If the delivery location cannot be safely accessed because of:
- Narrow roads
- Steep grades
- Weight restrictions
- Low-clearance areas
- Construction
- Gated access
- Unpaved roads
- One-way streets
- Other physical or legal restrictions
the carrier may deliver to the nearest safe and accessible location or may require pickup from a local freight terminal.
Additional charges caused by unusual access conditions may be the customer's responsibility if they were not disclosed before shipment.
Address Changes
Please verify your shipping address carefully before the order ships.
Changes requested after freight has been scheduled or dispatched may result in:
- Rerouting fees
- Address correction fees
- Storage charges
- Delivery delays
Any carrier charges caused by a customer-requested address change may be the customer's responsibility.
Failed Delivery and Redelivery Fees
If delivery cannot be completed because of:
- Customer unavailability
- Incorrect address information
- Failure to respond to the carrier
- Refusal of an otherwise conforming shipment
- Lack of required unloading arrangements
the freight carrier may charge storage, redelivery, reconsignment, or related fees.
Such charges may be the customer's responsibility.
Packaging
IronEntryStudio uses protective packaging appropriate for oversized freight shipments.
Depending on the product, shipments may include:
- Reinforced wooden crates
- Protective foam or padding
- Interior bracing
- Protective wrapping
- Palletized freight packaging
Customers should retain the original packaging until the shipment has been inspected and any potential freight issue has been resolved.
Inspecting Your Shipment
Please inspect the shipment carefully before signing the carrier's delivery receipt or Proof of Delivery (POD).
Check for:
- Crushed or broken crates
- Visible holes or punctures
- Bent or damaged packaging
- Missing pieces
- Visible product damage
- Other signs of impact during freight transportation
If visible damage is present, clearly note the damage on the delivery receipt before signing.
When possible, take photos of:
- The entire shipment
- The crate or packaging
- Shipping labels
- The damaged area
- The condition of the shipment before unpacking
Do not discard packaging until the claim has been reviewed.

- Noted on the carrier's delivery receipt at the time of delivery
- Photographed before or during unloading
- Reported to IronEntryStudio within 3 calendar days after delivery
Concealed Damage, Incorrect Products, or Missing Components

To report an issue, contact us and provide:
- Order number
- Description of the issue

We will review the documentation and assist with the freight claim process where appropriate.
Depending on the confirmed issue, possible resolutions may include:
- Replacement components
- Repair assistance
- Local repair support

The final resolution will depend on the nature and severity of the issue.
Delivery Estimates Are Not Guaranteed
All production, shipping, transit, customs, and delivery dates are estimates.
We do not guarantee an exact delivery date.
Customers should avoid scheduling installers, contractors, construction deadlines, or other dependent services until the product has arrived and has been inspected.
Installation
Installation is not included with standard curbside delivery unless specifically stated in the order.
Customers are responsible for arranging qualified installation appropriate for the product and project conditions.
IronEntryStudio is not responsible for delays or additional costs caused by installers scheduled before the shipment has arrived and been inspected.
