Warranty Coverage
IronEntryStudio iron doors include a 5-year limited warranty on the frame, hinges, and IronEntryStudio-supplied hardware, along with a 3-year limited warranty on eligible factory-applied finish defects. Warranty coverage is subject to the exclusions, maintenance requirements, and claim procedures described in our Warranty Policy.
What is considered an eligible warranty issue?
Our limited warranty covers eligible manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. Normal wear, gradual fading, scratches, environmental exposure, improper maintenance, improper installation, site conditions, accidental damage, unauthorized modifications, and damage caused by unsuitable or customer-supplied hardware are not considered manufacturing defects when they cause or contribute to the issue.
What if my order arrives damaged?
Freight damage is handled separately under our Shipping & Delivery Policy and Return & Refund Policy. Visible freight damage should be noted on the carrier’s delivery receipt, photographed, and reported to IronEntryStudio within 3 calendar days after delivery. Concealed damage, incorrect products, or missing essential components should be reported within 7 calendar days after delivery and before installation.
What should I do if I notice a problem with my door?
Please contact us before installing, cutting, drilling, welding, painting, refinishing, or otherwise modifying an affected product when doing so could interfere with evaluating the issue. Include your order number, a description of the concern, and clear photos or video so our team can review the condition and assist with the next steps.
Support Before and After Delivery
Our team is available throughout the ordering process and after your door arrives. Whether you have questions about specifications, receiving, product care, adjustments, or a potential warranty issue, please contact us and we will help review the situation.
Where can I review the complete coverage and policies?
Please review our Warranty Policy for complete warranty periods, coverage, exclusions, maintenance requirements, and claim procedures. Shipping damage, returns, cancellations, installation, and product care are governed by their respective IronEntryStudio policies and guides.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Most of our iron doors can be customized to suit an existing opening. Important factors include the rough opening width and height, overall door unit size, jamb depth or wall thickness, threshold conditions, door configuration, and swing direction. For a typical pre-hung IronEntryStudio iron door, the rough opening should be approximately 1 in. wider overall and ½ in. taller overall than the overall door unit size, including the jambs and threshold. Always confirm final dimensions against the approved shop drawing for your specific door before modifying the opening.
-
In many cases, yes. A custom iron door can be designed to replace an existing wood or fiberglass entry door. The existing opening, wall construction, threshold, trim, and surrounding finishes should be evaluated before finalizing the door dimensions. Some replacement projects may require adjustments to the opening or surrounding materials, so final site conditions should be confirmed before the door drawing is approved.
-
Yes. Custom iron doors can be designed for both remodeling projects and new construction. For a remodel, the door can be planned around the existing opening and site conditions. For new construction, we recommend coordinating the door dimensions with your builder or contractor early so the rough opening, wall depth, threshold, and surrounding finishes can be prepared correctly.
-
For greater privacy, frosted or textured glass options such as Sandblast, Rain, or Reeded glass can help obscure direct views while still allowing natural light into the entryway. Clear glass provides the greatest visibility and the least privacy. Available glass options may vary by door model and configuration.
-
Some smart locks can be accommodated, but compatibility depends on the exact lock model, door thickness, lock preparation, handle clearance, and door configuration. If you plan to use a smart lock, please provide the manufacturer, model, and product specifications before final drawing approval so the required preparation can be reviewed and confirmed.
-
The best swing direction depends on your entry layout, available interior and exterior clearance, nearby walls or fixtures, traffic flow, and project requirements. Depending on the door configuration, options may include left-hand inswing, left-hand outswing, right-hand inswing, and right-hand outswing. Our swing diagrams are viewed from the exterior. Please confirm the final swing direction with your installer before approving the door drawing.
-
Yes. We accept customer-supplied handles and locksets when they are compatible with the selected door and required hardware preparation. Please provide the exact product information, dimensions, installation template, or specifications before production so we can review compatibility and prepare the door accordingly. Once compatibility is confirmed, our team can advise you on how and when the hardware should be supplied.
-
We recommend planning your custom iron door early in the construction or remodeling process. Most custom IronEntryStudio doors are estimated to be completed and delivered within approximately 14–17 weeks after the required order details, measurements and specifications, final drawings, and required payment conditions have been confirmed. Lead times are estimates and are not guaranteed, so installation or other dependent work should not be scheduled until the door has arrived and been inspected.
